About Rossella’s Pawesome Care
Rossella is the sole trainer, leading all trauma-informed walks and co-regulation support. Her team ensures pets receive compassionate, reliable care: Julien supports walks, administrative tasks, and casual visits, while other team members provide general pet care and enrichment. This structure lets Rossella focus on specialized training services, maintaining consistent, high-quality support for every pet and guardian
Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed and force-free principles. We prioritize co-regulation and safety, ensuring that both dogs and their handlers feel supported and capable. We move at the pace of the nervous system, focusing on steady growth rather than perfection
We are dedicated to providing neurodivergent-friendly care, acknowledging that traditional training models can be overwhelming. By using scannable guides and clear, compassionate communication, we create an inclusive environment for every family

Rossella’s Story
From the moment Rossella could speak, her first word was one of her dogs’ names. Growing up in South Africa and visiting again in her teens, she was endlessly drawn to wildlife, always seeking out moments of connection, curiosity, and excitement. Moving to Canada at a young age, leaving her pets behind was tough, she spent years loudly wishing for a dog every Christmas, and her love for animals only grew stronger
After completing a degree in Psychology and discovering she was an undiagnosed neurodivergent person, Rossella realized she wanted work that aligned with her values: flexibility, purpose, and autonomy. Rather than forcing herself into a role that didn’t fit, she created one that did. Driven by a passion for supporting both people and animals, she began shadowing trainers, walking dogs, and fostering. This path led her to found Rossella’s Pawesome Care and become Free® Certified, with a focus on trauma-informed, force-free, and neurofriendly care
Today, Rossella focuses on trauma-informed, force-free, and neurofriendly training and co-regulation support, helping dogs and their humans navigate anxiety, reactivity, and overwhelm. Her work emphasizes calm routines, reading stress signals, and building confidence through predictable, sustainable strategies. She draws on her own lived experience, noticing shared neurodivergent patterns and nervous system responses, which helps her respond thoughtfully to both dogs and humans
Rossella continues to learn from and collaborate with other fear-free trainers, behaviourists, and groomers, integrating cross-disciplinary insights into every session. Her approach is rooted in patience, choice, and connection, creating meaningful results without pressure or quick fixes
Beyond training, Rossella is committed to raising standards in the pet care industry and making services more accessible and inclusive, especially for disabled and neurodivergent guardians. By building a supportive, knowledgeable team and sharing best practices, she aims to create a space where everyone - humans and animals alike - can thrive
Her work isn’t about perfection; it’s about trust, co-regulation, and sustainable routines that support emotional wellbeing, strengthen the human-animal bond, and make trauma-informed, compassionate care the norm rather than the exception
Our Mission & Values
At Rossella’s Pawesome Care, we believe every pet deserves to feel safe, understood, and supported. We read each animal’s signals, respect boundaries, and build trust at their pace — whether guiding a nervous pup through gentle leash work, helping a reactive dog with co-regulation strategies, or supporting a shy cat to feel confident
While our focus is trauma-informed training and mindful walks, we also provide compassionate pet care to support both pets and their humans. Every service is tailored to your pet’s personality and your family’s needs, especially for anxious, reactive, or special-needs animals
We’re committed to creating an inclusive, accessible environment for team members and clients alike, particularly those who are neurodivergent, disabled, or face other challenges. By fostering a welcoming space, we enhance care and support for everyone involved
