How We Work Together
STEP 01
Discovery & Foundations
Review your dog’s history, environment, routines, and household goals
Observe communication patterns, stress signals, and the factors that may be shaping your dog’s behaviour and daily experience
Begin identifying not just what your dog may need, but what support, clarity, or accommodations may help the household feel more steady and successful too
Some goals may be outlined early, while others become clearer as trust, context, and patterns unfold
STEP 02
Safety, Trust & Readiness
The first session, and generally the first few, are centered on trust building and nervous system support for both human and dog
This means slowing things down so your dog can feel safe and supported and so you also feel supported in understanding what they’re communicating in real time
We do not rush into new expectations. Instead, we prioritize co-regulation, emotional safety, and creating experiences your dog can thrive in as the foundation for learning
Behaviour change is not forced or drilled - it emerges gradually as you and your dog become more regulated, more confident, and more able to engage with the world around you
STEP 03
Ongoing Guidance, Reflection & Adjustment
Receive follow-up notes, summaries, and practical next steps based on the session and your chosen program
Support may continue between sessions through check-ins, shared observations, questions, or updates as things come up
Because not everything is known from the initial assessment, this process remains collaborative and responsive as your dog’s needs and your household needs become clearer or change over time
STEP 04
Collaborative Check-Ins
Over time, we refine what works, reduce stress where possible, and build tools that support your dog’s wellbeing, your household’s day to day life, and your own emotional regulation
Joint sessions are incorporated when helpful, allowing us to strengthen implementation, troubleshoot challenges, and support both your dog and the people caring for them
The goal isn’t perfection or fixing anything - it’s creating a more supported, understood, and sustainable way forward together
The above is an example of our process and may differ depending on each family or dog.
We offer flexible scheduling for neurodivergent families. Choices include shorter consults or spaced-out sessions at a pace that works for you today

Flexible Support Across All Plans
We prioritize kindness over rigid structures. Whether you choose the Chrysalis Circle or an ongoing Collective program, our support remains nervous-system-aware and tailored to your household’s pacing
Sessions can be adjusted or rescheduled as needed, provided changes fall within the timeframes and conditions outlined in your agreement. This ensures that support remains consistent while allowing flexibility for your dog’s comfort and your household’s needs
We adapt our communication and goals to ensure they stay accessible for every human and dog, no matter how life shifts
Time Blocks & Scheduling
What a Time Block Is:
A time block is a dedicated chunk of time set aside specifically for your dog’s training. It ensures we can focus fully on your dog’s needs without interruptions
How It Works:
Your session can take place at any point within the scheduled time block. This gives flexibility while keeping the full 60-minute session intact
Why We Use Them:
Time blocks help structure sessions in a way that’s manageable for your schedule, our availability, and your dog’s attention span. They ensure sessions are effective, positive, and stress-free
Session Length & Availability
Assessment and consult sessions involve a total of 1–2 hours, which may include pre-session review of forms and history, the in-person meeting itself, and post-session follow-up to summarize observations and next steps.
Most sessions are about 60 minutes, though shorter or more tailored sessions may be suggested for anxious, young, or sensitive dogs who need extra support
Sessions are primarily offered in afternoons, early evenings, and select weekends in South Surrey/White Rock, with training outside this area available on a very limited, case-by-case basis
